Turbowarp and the End of AstroBaldi
AstroBaldi was never meant to be even made. It began when I created a series called ANGRYSTORY and four years later I decided to reshape the timeline. Eventually I ended with the result found on AngryWeb. And for the timeline to work there must have been a SPACE EVENT of sorts. And I had decided to make a game called AstroBaldi in Scratch. Yes, Scratch. Now you may see why it is pointless to continue on the AstroBaldi journey.
But over time I began to expand this game with more and more features. Eventually I realised that Scratch is absolute dogsh*t. This is where I discovered Turbowarp and decided to work in there. Every single update I added more and more features and then I quit. I realised and tried to learn languages other than SCRATCH. But I came crawling back here. To Turbowarp to finish this once all for all. To finish AstroBaldi like I hoped in the very beginning. I stop learning languages and fully accepted myself as a SCRATCH GAME “DEVELOPER”. This time I had to finish it. I created characters, the game’s plot, etcetera and wanted to finish it. But I was limited by the whole program that I used to make my dream true. TURBOWARP.
I overlooked this issue and moved on. But I started to die inside every time I explained what I was using to make my game. I said: “I make games in Turbowarp - a modification of Scratch.” every time when people asked me this question. I wanted to move on. But I didn’t want to leave this project unfinished like last time. I wanted to learn from this experience. To wanted to make the story, the characters, the visuals, the music and the trailer to learn from this experience. This is now.
In some time V0.4.6 will be released, but after that I am not sure if I want to continue with this game anymore. I want to stop creating my game using “better Scratch”, but I want to switch to UNREAL. I will try to work on V0.4.7, but it will not be my main priority anymore. V0.5 - The Demo, The Story Mode Update will probably be the last update this game will receive, if it receives it at all.
Anyways. The pre-release version (.SB3) is able to be downloaded right now. (Yes, I know I violated my rules again, but... I want to share the game in some way.) And again, changelog is not available yet.
Also the pre-release will be able to be downloaded until the 24th so download it now!
